Lamb, Little & Company represents a multitude of organizations, both directly and indirectly (through our Excess and Surplus Lines contracts). We can access virtually any global market. On a regular basis we represent over thirty property/casualty insurers, and a similar number of life and health insurance underwriters. In addition, we have working partnerships with loss control and claims consultants, giving us access to these services on behalf of our clients.
We strive to place all of our business with insurers who have an industry rating of "A" or better in order to provide our customers with the finest protection available in the marketplace. Industry ratings are provided by independent rating services that focus solely on the application of standards to insurance companies to assure financial soundness, sufficiency of reserves, claims paying ability, etc. The most prominent rating services are A.M. Best & Company, Moody´s , and Standard & Poors.
New insurers are consistently coming into being, and as such, are not rated for a period of at least five years. Thus, because ratings are not available, we have a due diligence process to assure financial security for our customers when providing coverage through new and/or non-rated companies.
