Mr. MacDonald joined a property/casualty agency in 1962, following a short, but successful career in teaching and coaching. He has accumulated a wealth of practical, in-depth knowledge in all aspects of risk management and has acquired vast experience in the customized, creative design and implementation of comprehensive insurance programs for his clients.
Prior to joining Lamb, Little & Co. in 1995, Mr. MacDonald spent a number of years as the CEO of a mid-sized Chicago area agency. He relocated to Lamb, Little to work with his son, Brian, to increase their broad base of clients who require professional expertise and consultation relative to their insurance needs.
In 2006 Mr. MacDonald assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Marketing Relations for Lamb, Little & Co. for the purpose of building and maintaining strong relationships with our insurance company partners. He also serves as head of the Agency Planning Committee and the Recruitment Committee.
Mr. MacDonald has served on a number of Agent Advisory Councils, and was one of the founding Trustees of Oakton Community College. He has served as a board member of the Illinois Management Training Institute, All American Bank of Chicago, and the First Colonial Trust Company, Oak Park.
He is a graduate of Lewis University. He obtained his Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1981 and his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1996. Mr. MacDonald and his wife reside in Park Ridge, Illinois. They have five grown children and seventeen grandchildren.
